Yoga For Weight Loss
Is it really possible to use yoga for weight loss? It is. Many people think of yoga as merely stretching. But if you attend a class at your gym, you may come away with a completely different idea about this exercise technique. An average class can even burn almost the same amount of calories as would be used in another more strenuous cardio exercise.
You may not realize that yoga is also a resistance exercise. Resistance training is lifting some type of weight. You are lifting your own body weight with many yoga poses, and this will put resistance on your muscles. And, similar to any other resistance exercise, your muscle mass will build in response.

Although it may not strike you as the type of activity that can really change your body, you could be pleasantly surprised. Contrary to what you might believe, you don’t have to despise exercise for it to really work for you. Your body need not be tormented for positive results. Being kind and gentle to it can work even better.
