Can You Inspire Me Into Action?

Written by Leanne Wagner on Dec 12th, 2009 | Filed under: Motivation

If you inspire me into personal accountability and action I can change much about the world. It difficult to believe that one person can inspire changes in others that eventually can affect much about the world we live in. Personal changes to political agendas, there is a significant need for all of us to find unique and powerful inspiration in something. Religion, political movements, and personal accountability can all become our most powerful and long lasting motivators.

There are many complaints regarding the current political leaders working to inspire me, and you, into doing more for our country. Yet the role of a leader is to provide strong leadership, which includes creating an overall inspiration throughout the people. This can be used for good or it can be used for harm. Nazism rose from inspiration, just as Nelson Mandela inspired his country toward change.

Realizing our role as inspirational people isn’t something that everyone wishes to accept. It implies responsibility. Each action that is taken has come from an internal acceptance of that motivation. Otherwise, we do not act.

We have the ability to make changes and create in our immediate vicinity a more productive and creative world. Often the only thing we need to create immediate personal changes is inspiration.

When we are inspired to work so that we can pay the bills and meet our general obligations, we show up on time and do our jobs. When we are truly motivated to make it to the top and land a position that we find more fulfilling or greater than our current position, we approach our employment with much greater vigor, as we are inspired to do more.

The more inspired we are the more motivated we are. This applies to all aspects of life, including world leadership and personal day to day motivation. We do not take a strong or committed action unless we are impressed upon in one form or another. We all carry the ability to influence and create grand inspirations in those around us if we choose, and we all have the ability to decide whether we want to motivate positive or negative changes.

So then why don’t we? If being inspired, motivated, and believing in something is the greatest factor in changing the world, why is there still violence? Why are people still starving? Why are we all still sitting firmly on opposite sides of the political fence? Why is there still so much that we claim is wrong with the world and yet we seem to do little to nothing about it? Are we all really just that underwhelmed and uninspired?

We are all looking for different things in the world and we are all passionate about different aspects of life. We all want things to be better, but we really can’t agree on what “better” might be or how to get there. So we spend more time talking about it than following our desires. This applies in our personal life just as much as it applies in politics. It is easy to talk about inspiration. It is another thing to turn into real action.
