SEA GYPSIES ARE poem
by Richard L. Provencher

Sea Gypsies Are
itchy-footed wayfarers
content to
sail from Burmese
islands,
wanting no material
things, happy
in ancient ritual
handmaking goods
harvesting
crab, spearing fish
gathering
lobsters mussels
and oysters.
Each day a celebration
of life.
