In today’s modern world, the radio, TV, newspaper, and internet are full of negative content and bad news. This could be a very bad thing for our children since they can easily be influenced by what they see and hear. We can never deny the fact that these negative things that our children see and hear might influence how they grow up as a person.

As parents, guardians, siblings, or teachers it is our responsibility to limit how much children see and hear these negative things in media. However, we can’t really stop them from watching TV, listening to radio, or using the internet forever.

There are however, a lot of other ways to counter and limit our children’s exposure from the negative things that media contains. One good way is reading them Christian books while they are still young. This is a good way to let children know that there are still a lot of good things in this world.

It is generally a good idea to read children Christian books before they sleep. Aside from the fact that they will love the stories from these great Christian resources, they will also get to learn a lot of good moral values that will influence them to grow up as a good person. Take time to explain the moral values in each story after you read them so that your children may understand what is right or wrong and what is good or evil in this world.

There are also a lot of Christian books that are available in stores. These Christian resources can provide a great educational learning for kids such as activity and coloring books, itty – bitty books and story books that can give them a great time while learning the teachings of God.

Christian resources, if properly magnified and integrated into a child’s life will be of great value. Think of it as a very small investment for your child with a very big profit in the future.

These books and resources are your best weapon to use in countering all the bad influences that are being sent out by TV, radio and internet media that manipulates the minds of our innocent children. With these books and resources we can distract them from internalizing these bad influences.

Aside from the benefit to your child, you will also be benefited as a parent because by reading the book with your child, you are actually building a stronger relationship with him or her, and you both build a stronger relationship with God through the use of Christian resources.

Nowadays, people sometimes struggle to find time to be together. You could do lots of nice activities at these moments, but no thing is better than enjoying your Christian resources.
