Feng Shui House Colors and Elements for Beginners

For your Feng Shui House, you would use the Feng Shui Ba-Gua to map out the different directions in your home. Using the Ba-Gua and its eight directions, you would then use the Lo-Pan or Feng Shui compass to study further into the natural elements that go with the various directions. Because a color goes along with each element, you could then determine which color would work best in your environment to produce the best Chi.

Making use of the different Feng Shui colors is the easiest method for producing the different types of positive energy , bringing prosperity, health, and other things associated with good Chi. The five elements

Several colors embody the various natural elements. Various shades of these specific colors can be employed with your Feng Shui House decorating.

Wood element – Green and shades of brown
Water element – Shades of blue and black

Earth element – Sandy shades, yellows, and light browns -
Metal element – Gray, white, and gold and silver can be included

The five elements have two cycles that rule them – the productive cycle and the destructive cycle. During the productive cycle, you will see the water element nourishing the wood element, which could then be used to create the fire element. The earth element is produced by the fire element burning , which goes on to become the metal element and then the metal element feeds on to the water element. Just like the circle of life, this cycle is constantly revolving.

The different colors associated with these elements also represent and boost the likelihood of certain characteristics such as abundance, health and recognition. In addition, certain directions as pointed out by the Ba-Gua deal specifically with these elements of nature. One example is, the wood element has to do with the East and Southeast.

Feng Shui decorating is all about creating positive energy that bodes well in the work or living area. Therefore, you will want to use certain colors that go with the directions elements. Some colors can be pleasing naturally and can be used outside the element if they are a part of that cycle. For instance, red is the color of fire and represents an energizing Chi.
