How To Keep Your Motivation

Written by Ryan Cinder on Jul 26th, 2009 | Filed under: Motivation

The biggest hindrance people face these days in getting their motivation levels up high is having their thoughts negative at all times, and thus they always put themselves down and think that they aren’t doing anything in their life properly. I should tell you one fact about negative thought, you cannot even think about success if you have “IF’S” and “BUT’S” in your mind. They block your journey to the prize you get for working hard in your life, and hence should be avoided at all times.

I am not saying that there won’t be any obstacles in your path to success; I am just saying that you don’t have to think negatively about them and just take them as a challenge to motivate yourself along the way to victory. Positive thoughts always tend to produce the best results, as have been noticed in many organizations all around the world. These thoughts create a sort of new energy in you, that gets you all pumped up and willingness to perform better than your last effort.

Another part that leads you to motivation is setting practical goals and achieving them. When you set some goals for yourself, you have a vision to chase and you work towards accomplishing it. When you actually accomplish it, you would feel really good about your achievements, and you tend to do better on your next set of goals and achieve them in a better manner with better time management.

There is something essential about this that you should know that you shouldn’t set up goals that are impractical and out of your reach. This will frustrate you even more when you don’t achieve them, and will set down your motivation level by a great deal. So make sure that you don’t commit this mistake ever.

It is better to just set short term easy goals at first, so you can achieve them easily and get the mental satisfaction of achieving them in time and perfectly. As you achieve those, you can then move on to bigger and long term goals, when your motivation level is up high and you tend to achieve them in a much better manner. Also, when you set yourself a goal, make sure you know the reason why you want to achieve it. Running after goals that mean nothing to you is just not worth it, and a big waste of your time.

You shouldn’t wonder about the methods to get yourself motivated. Instead, you should try getting inspired by the stories in the same regard, and make sure you do everything right. You will get the motivation as soon as you start getting results, and then the cycle goes on and on.
