There many types of breathing techniques and one example is deep breathing. This technique is often added to usual routines or the fact that it can be made even at work or any time that result to relaxation of the body. These factors make it one of the most effective breathing techniques.

Shallow breathing causes the chest and lungs to constrict. This leads to the gradual reduction of oxygen delivered to your tissues. Deep rhythmic breathing helps the diaphragm muscle, and with it, the lung’s air pockets expand which in turn massages the lymphatic system and results in a relaxation response.

Deep breathing requires proper techniques to achieve its effect. Breathing deeply from the abdomen should be followed to enable the lungs gather more air supply compared to shallow breaths taken from the upper chest.

Breathing, especially the exhalation phase, has a natural automatic relaxing effect. One physical mechanism of action for this relaxing effect is the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the blood.

Breathing has the ability to address directly with the parts of the body affected by stress. The possible severe effect of over worked sympathetic nervous system usually caused by depression, muscle tension and pain, insulin sensitivity, GI issues, insomnia, and adrenal fatigue can be minimized id if deep breathing is mastered.

Tension is one of the unusual behaviors of the body which can be lessen by practicing full breathing. Once relaxed, breathing can be experience smoothly and can either be called shallow or deep breathing.

The advantage of mastering deep breathing is more than relaxation alone. Stress, taming down fast heart rate, lowering high blood pressure, minimize sweating and even proper digestion can be achieved once deep breathing is mastered.

Deep breathing is one of the easiest, costless, and time friendly type of relaxation. It doesnt require any tools to be done. It doesnt demand any special place or office to practice it but yet its undeniable effect can lessen stress.
