Ultimately, there is only person that can make you succeed with your exercise program and that is you. If you are focused, dedicated and work hard you will see the results.

Your exercise regime must include all the major muscle group so that you build your body up in proportion. Here are the main ones to concentrate on.

For me, by far the most important group of muscles are in the chest. This is a controversial opinion but one that I stick by.

A strong chest and back will make life much easier for you to achieve the overall results that you are wanting to achieve from the rest of your body. Pull ups and other back exercises will ensure that that you have firm and even muscle distribution.

Don’t ignore your shoulders ,there are specific exercises for those muscles that will broaden them and make you look and feel terrific.

Don’t forget your arms! All men want bulging biceps but don’t neglect your triceps either or your arms will end up looking distinctly out of proportion. Work the groups together or one at a time, the choice is yours.

If you want to look great from head to foot, don’t forget your leg exercises. Don’t be under the misconception that they will be getting worked anyway, they need specific exercises.

So know you know some of the major muscle groups to work out in order to achieve the results you want. Add in to the mix some running, abs exercise, some for your lower back and also your forearms.

Aside from fitness, the author additionally regularly gives advice regarding kids bedroom sets and cheap bed frames.

Early History Of The Melbourne Cup, Australia

Written by Byron Jonas on Mar 7th, 2010 | Filed under: Uncategorized

The Melbourne Cup is famously known as the “race that stops the nation” in Australia where it is run on the first Tuesday in November. The cup history dates back to 1861 when it was founded by the Victoria Turf Club. It has become known today as the greatest 3200 meter handicap horse race in the world. Today the race is an important cultural part of Australian life and it is celebrated all around Australia and watched by nearly every Australian from their television sets. A considerable growth in audience since the original race in 1861 was viewed by around 4000 people.

The Cup is run at the Flemington Racetrack, which is just 15 minutes from the Melbourne central business district. Originally the race was a pretty primitive affair, but it quickly became one of “the” social events on the calendar and became a chance for society ladies to show off their finest fashions combined with garden and lawn parties.

AT first the cup was run on a Thursday, but it was changed to a Tuesday in 1875 and has been run on that day ever since. The race is always held on the first Tuesday in November. By the time that the day of the race was changed the annual crowds turning up to Flemington were exceeding 100,000 an amazing number considering that the population of Melbourne at that time was a mere 300,000.

At the end of the 19th century Australia was going through a severe recession and economic depression that found a third of the workforce without a job. Due to the economically trying times the cup trophy was not awarded between 1894 and 1898.

When the 20th century arrived Melbourne was recovering from the economic battering along with the rest of Australia. This carefree period was to be brief however, with World War I just over the horizon. In 1906 the horse called Poseidon became a household name as it became the first horse in the history of the race to win the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup, AJC and VRC Derby all in the same racing season.

In 1930 Phar Lap entered the public conscious and became the most famous cup winner in its entire history. The odds that Phar Lap had coming into the Melbourne Cup in 1930 were the lowest odds that have ever been put on a horse in the cup’s history – 11/8. At a time during the Great Depression when few people had any money people put their last few coins on the horse and were rewarded as it thrashed the competition. At the time Phar Lap was the greatest race horse in the world, but it was to meet a suspicious fate in 1932 when it was found dead in California.

In 1946 the photo finish was introduced to the race and was needed in 1948 to decide the winner Ray Neville a 15 year old jockey with only nine previous rides up his sleeve.

The Melbourne Cup has grown to become one of the most important social and cultural events on the Australian calendar throughout its history and has become internationally acclaimed and attracts the best race horses from all over the globe who come to try for glory at Flemington.

When you want to start enjoying winning at the horse races, you can do it fast with some great horse racing tips today! The Melbourne Cup tips will give you the simple tricks and techniques you need to start your winning streak now!

Welsh Terriers A Facing a Struggle

Written by Owen Jones on Mar 7th, 2010 | Filed under: Uncategorized

Initially, Welsh terriers were bred for hunting rabbits, foxes and badgers, but public opinion and the decline in the lust for blood in general have gone against blood sports and so this native breed of Wales has become a show dog and a pet. Breeders attempt to outdo each other by breeding the Welsh terrier to have a denser wiry coat and deeper colouration. The Welsh terrier is also a popular pet because it is one of the most easy-going terriers.

The Welsh terrier is a fun loving dog. It just loves to run, chase and play, which makes it a smashing companion and a perfect pet. Welsh terriers require lots of exercise, so be prepared for plenty of walking, if you make your mind up to get one.

It is a good idea to ’socialize’ your dog as soon as possible. This means that you should introduce your Welsh terrier puppy to children and other dogs at an early age. The more you encourage your dog to participate with other dogs as a puppy, the less trouble you will have with your dog fighting or barking at other dogs and cats. It’s the same story with children. Children can play very physically, and a dog could be forgiven for biting back, but it can be avoided by introducing your Welsh terrier puppy to children while it is still young. The child might learn respect, but the dog will learn forbearance.

The Welsh terrier is easily trained, if you like your dog to do tricks. it is an intelligent breed and, being former hunters, they are good at learning commands and tricks. Train your Welsh terrier with kindness and repetition. They like to retrieve sticks and play with a ball. Many people train their Welsh terriers to catch a flying Frisbee too.

A Welsh terrier will groom himself quite meticulously, but you can help out by brushing him once a week in order to eradicate the dead and loose hair. This will also help reduce the amount of hairs dropping inside your house, although terriers in general, and wire-haired dogs in particular do not shed as much hair as soft coated dogs. You could also lend a hand by wiping him over with a moist cloth from time to time in order to pick up any dust on his coat.

A Welsh terrier is very energetic and very curious, so it is prudent to keep your dog in a yard that has been fenced off. However, the fence needs to be reasonably high, because the Welsh terrier has an excellent capacity to jump due to its long legs.

The Welsh terrier is Britain’s oldest breed of dog, but it is now under pressure. The British kennel club registers only 300 Welsh terrier puppies a year, whereas it registers tens of thousands of puppies of other, more popular, breeds. The Welsh terrier is a strong-willed animal, so it does need a strong-willed and patient owner.

However. if you want a Welsh terrier and you persist with it, you will never look back. They have a lot to give and, as with so many things in life, you only get out what you are willing to put in.
