Why We Need Christian Resources
Like many people, I sometimes fear for the direction that our popular media is going. This is probably most attributed to the fact that I am a Christian, and I feel like I just can’t find anything that is morally upright these days. Most of the stuff out there is getting more and more trashy.
To be clearer, I am talking about things like kid’s books, movies and music. These aren’t the only things by any means, but they are some main ones. It’s not that I want to have to eliminate all these things from my life completely, but I also see clearly that the need for a Christ centered existence is more necessary than ever.
Church helps, obviously. There are few things better than going to church on Sunday to bring good influences back into my life. All the great Christian resources I have access to are really helpful to me. Church is a place where I can re-unite with friends, worship, and think about the good things in life.
Another thing that I am really grateful for is that there are Christian stores that sell good and uplifting media. Despite what many people think, there are quite a few of these stores around the country. Not that it matters though; you can always go online to any Christian store and get whatever you are looking for.
The great thing about these Christian stores is that there are good products for the children that I approve of. There are already too many children’s books out there that might be entertaining but have no true value. I would probably rather have my kids reading books about Bible characters than wizards or witches.
Don’t we all love us some inspiring artwork? I love that most Christian stores have a large selection of Christ-centered artwork. I know that my home would not be complete without quality and uplifting artwork, and I’m sure most of you could say the same. Artwork is a way that we can make our homes a little piece of heaven on earth.
And how much worse off would our church congregations be if we did not have church resources? Christian stores supply our churches with the supplies we depend on. If we didn’t have them, our church-going experience would be insignificant compared to what it is today.
The point here is that there is tons of trashy media out there in the world but we can dodge it by shopping at the Christian store. We need our expose our family to good things and buying Christian products is the best way to do it.
In a time when there are few places to turn to get good and inspiring media, you can rely on Christian stores to get good Christian supplies. You and your family will be glad you did.
