Will the 2012 Mayan Prophecy Come True Or Will The Day Pass Without Incident?
One of the most hotly debated times in prophecy is approaching, and the date and time of its fulfillment are unusually precise. The Mayan calendar predicts that some catastrophe will occur on December 21, 2012, at 11:11 Greenwich Mean Time. The Mayan calendar, which began in 3114 BC, will end at that time. Couple this prophecy with the overdue projections of Nostradamus, the sun’s position in the center of the Milky Way’s galactic disk, and the Chinese Four Pillars’ prediction that December 21, 2012, will be a day of calamity, and many psychics believe that something dreadful is about to happen. They cite biblical warnings to bolster their case that an unprecedented disaster will occur.
Whilst it is worth giving some thought to the prophecy, we need to be careful not only to consider the hysterical arguments. The 2012 Mayan prophecy calendar is amongst many “end of the world” dates which have either already passed or are still to come. Recently noted dates were Nostradamus’ prediction for the year 2000 and 2003’s Hindu avatar Krishna’s arrival.
If December 21, 2012 passes without incident, there are, however, many dates to keep in mind for the end of the world. These dates include the planetary alignment of 2040, the year 2076 when the Muslim calendar ends, and the year 2240 when the Jewish calendar ends.
However, 2012 carries promise for people wanting designs founded on forecasts and also for scientists. To start with, as discussed earlier, a number of happenings are likely leading to 2012. The Mayans aver that the sun will pass through cosmic womb, or the middle of the galaxy, which could be surmised as place of the dead, of rebirth and of changes. In the meantime, scientists foresee exceptionally intense sunspot behavior. However, a few simply liken this happening to the transition to an odometer. We would only commence our forthcoming cycle.
Will December 21, 2012 bring fire and brimstone and just another day in the northern winter? We don’t know, but the prophecies are unusually precise, which indicates that they saw something specific occurring at that time. I personally hope that nothing much happens, and that I am at home enjoying the morning with my family on December 21, 2012 at 11:11 GMT.
